프레임 연구는 언론이 현실을 특정한 관점이나 방식인 프레임을 통해 전달한다는 것을 전제로 하고 다양한 뉴스프레임 유형을 밝혀왔다. 이 연구는 지금까지 국내 뉴스프레임 연구 결과로 축적된 유형을 통합적으로 조사했다. 분석 결과, 4개 차원에 걸쳐 총 15개 유형의 뉴스프레임이 도출됐다. 구체적으로 기능적 차원으로 ‘정의/해석’, ‘원인’, ‘결과/영향’, ‘대책’ 프레임과 특정 관점에 관한 차원으로 ‘사회’, ‘경제’, ‘정책’, ‘도덕성’, ‘책임’, ‘민주합의’, ‘인간적 흥미’ 프레임, 이슈의 상황이나 상태 차원으로 ‘갈등’, ‘위기/위험’ 프레임, 전달방식 차원으로 ‘의혹/고발’, ‘단순 정보전달’ 프레임이 밝혀졌다. 국내언론은 15개 유형 중에서 ‘갈등’과 ‘사회’ 프레임, ‘원인’, ‘결과/영향’, ‘대책’ 프레임을 더 비중 있게 사용했다. 국내언론의 뉴스보도 프레임에 대한 체계적 분석의 필요성과 의의에 대하여 논의했다.

The present study attempted to meta-analyze the scattered individual findings on domestic news frame accumulated in the literature to draw more general and universal conclusions. As a result, First, 15 categories of 4 levels domestic news frame were developed: 1) Structural level of ‘definition/interpretation’, ‘rationale’, ‘consequences/effects’, and ‘measures’ frames. 2) Specific perspective level or aspect level of ‘society’, ‘economy’, ‘policies’, ‘morality’, ‘responsibility’, ‘democratic consensus’ and ‘human interest’ frames. 3) Issue or situational level of ‘conflict’, ‘crisis/danger’ frames. 4) Transfer level of ‘suspicion/accusation’, and ‘simple information delivery’ frames. Second, In the news framing process of the domestic media, each frame has been chosen and emphasized among the 15 frames according to the general practices and trends of each media, and social and cultural practices of Korean society. Third, the domestic media uses considerably ‘conflict’, ‘society’, ‘rationale’, ‘consequences/effects’, and ‘measures’ frames. Finally, the categories of domestic news frame deduced here are aimed for more general and universal theory through the frame analysis of individual issues. Furthermore, this result is more significant in its contribution to the foundation of future news frame studies with consistency.
